Environmental Resources Center
Conservation through research and education.
Fort Wayne and vicinity have a rich heritage of natural resources, most obviously the rivers coursing through the area, but also forests, wetlands, and green spaces such as parks. A diversity of plant and animal wildlife live here year-round or traverse through during migration. Water and soil are also contributors to the natural wealth in the area. These assets are embedded in a landscape matrix variably dominated by agriculture and otherwise developed areas such as cities. It is within this interplay of nature and human activity that we conduct our activities.
