The Details

About the classes.

Let the pool party begin. Turnstone has the most beautiful warm-water infinity-edge pool, great locker rooms, and a guard on duty for our entire class. Learn how water resistance can help build strength, burn calories, and protect the joints, all while turning up the tunes and dancing away. No need to swim or even like the water. It will quickly become one of your favorites!

Aqua class is taught at Turnstone, located at 3320 North Clinton Street.

Just for the working Dons. Finding balance, strength, and purpose in this mat-based class will give you a wonderful feeling and sense of success. Connecting mind and body, this yoga class is for all fitness levels.

Fitness workouts are based on functional movements. Considering life’s core movements, fitness, strength, and skill are developed through constantly varied functional movements performed at high intensity. Emphasis is on building strength, increasing mobility and flexibility, and learning proper safety techniques while working out. Each day is different and all fitness levels are welcome. This gentle form of exercise can help maintain strength, flexibility, and balance, and could be the perfect activity for the rest of your life.

The beginner class series introduces the history of yoga, fundamental principles of alignment, and breathwork. You’ll be introduced to yoga postures through step-by-step verbal descriptions and demonstrations. Emphasis is placed on student understanding, safety, and stability within each pose. If you have never tried yoga this series is perfect for you, as it is designed to meet the needs of those new to yoga—in addition to those seeking a continued understanding of basic yoga poses.

Meet the trainer

Say hello to Taylor.

Taylor Pufahl is an International Sports Sciences Association–certified personal trainer and nutritionist. He has been working with Fort Wayne natives for the past five years to help them become the healthiest and strongest versions of themselves. With the philosophy that the barbell is for men and women of all ages, Taylor utilizes it as the number one tool to help his clients reach all their strength and fitness goals, as learning proper lifting techniques is essential to any long-term progress or success in the gym. Also, Taylor specializes in teaching and coaching proper, safe, and efficient biomechanical and movement patterns.

Personal Training Policies

What you need to know.

Follow all policies regarding dress when in the fitness center. Proper exercise attire (including clean tennis shoes) is required.

If a session needs to be canceled for any reason other than an emergency, you must give a 24-hour notice. Contact your trainer directly or call the fitness center front desk at 260-481-6655. Failure to notify the fitness center will result in forfeiture of the session.

Training sessions are one hour. If you request to end a session early or or if it is deemed appropriate to end early based on your fitness level, the session is considered completed and the remaining time will not be made up during a later date.

If you are going to be more than five minutes late, you should call the trainer. Your trainer will wait only 15 minutes for late arrivals. Any tardiness of more than 15 minutes will result in the loss of that session.
