About Us

The Fullertube Interdisciplinary Research Science & Technology Research Center is a space for innovative collaboration between diverse educational and scientific backgrounds. Comprised of brilliant minds from various fields, the FIRST Research Center fosters interdisciplinary research, allowing experts to come together and tackle complex challenges that transcend traditional disciplinary boundaries.

Research

The FIRST Molecules Research Center is dedicated to creating and studying new molecules called Fullertubes. Our groundbreaking work includes discovering new types of Fullertubes and increasing production efficiency with metal additives. By experimenting with methods like electric-arc and flame synthesis, we have achieved promising preliminary results. The Center's long-term goals involve discovering more molecules, fostering scientific collaborations, and sharing findings globally, advancing the field of Fullertube science.

Student Engagement

Involving Purdue University Fort Wayne students is important to us as the center fosters learning, growth, and exciting discoveries. Working alongside us, students gain real-world experiences, enriching their education and empowering them to contribute meaningfully to cutting-edge research.

Collaborations

Collaboration is at the heart of what we do. With a growing network of x researchers, labs, and universities, we invite all to join our symbiotic relationship. Embracing diverse perspectives, we welcome experts from various fields to enrich our research. Become a collaborator and be a part of pioneering discoveries together!
