Faculty Community Engagement Grant
Objective
To support research by faculty members engaged in mutually beneficial partnerships with the community (broadly defined).
Eligibility
All tenure-track and tenured faculty are eligible to apply, except faculty with 12-month appointments.
Award
Grant amount is $8,000, paid as a taxable stipend. The grant period is the summer following award notification. Faculty cannot teach during the summer.
Application Guidelines
Applications are closed for 2022-2023.
Requirements
Within two years of receiving the award, you must participate in a future University Research and Innovation sponsored event and do at least one of the following and report doing so to the director of University Research and Innovation:
- Submit an article to a University Research and Innovation magazine or research journal
- Work with University Research and Innovation to arrive at an agreed upon community engaged way of sharing the research proposed
