>> ISABEL NUNEZ: Hi, my name is Isabel Nuñez, and I'm the dean of the College of Science at Purdue University Fort Wayne. I have a story to tell you. It is the story of a young man who has just finished his teacher preparation program, and he's on his first interview for a teaching job. He's got a panel of people before him and the principal asks the first question. "Why do you want to be a teacher?" and the young man says, "For the fame, the power, and the money!" Here's the pause for laughter, because that was a joke. This is not why anyone goes into the teaching profession. What you do get from being a teacher is better than any of those things. It is the joy and fulfillment of being a part of someone's transformation. Seeing someone learn and grow and help prepare them to go out in the world and do great things. All of the professions that the School of Education prepares for serve society, whether someone is going to be a teacher or human services professional or a counselor. You can help make sure that the people who are going to serve our society have less loan debt by supporting scholarships in the School of Education. You can support our students in supporting the world. You are going to be making a difference not just in the life of that student, but also in the lives of everyone that student goes on to serve. Thank you so much for being a part of the Big Give. [Music]
