Assem Nasr is an Associate Professor at the Department of Communication Purdue University Fort Wayne where he teaches media studies and international communication. Nasr completed a Master of Fine Arts degree in film and electronic media at American University in Washington, DC and received his doctorate degree in international communication from The University of Texas at Austin. His research focuses on media, gender representations, and cultural identities in the Arab world. Dr. Nasr’s work has been published in scholarly journals such as Arab Media & Society, and Communication, Culture, & Critique, and Global Media Journal, and presented in international academic conferences.
