Dr. Brad Oliver is a Clinical Associate Professor of Educational Leadership and serves as the Chair, Department of Counseling & Graduate Education in the School of Education. Dr. Oliver also serves as the School's CAEP Accreditation Coordinator.
He is a former elementary school teacher, principal, and central office administrator with fifteen years of service in the school districts of Noblesville, Twin Lakes, and the Muncie Community Schools. Dr. Oliver has been teaching graduate education courses since 2008 and specializes in the areas of educational leadership, educational policy, and curriculum & instruction. Dr. Oliver is a past, gubernatorial-appointed member of the Indiana Professional Standards Advisory Board and the Indiana State Board of Education. He is also a nationally certified Lead Evaluator for Cognia (formerly AdvancED) in their Measured Progress growth platform for schools. Dr. Oliver serves as President of the Indiana Association of Supervision and Curriculum Development, the state affiliate of the national ASCD organization. He is a Board member for The School Care Team, a non-profit located in Fort Wayne, Indiana that provides training to parents, teachers and school leaders on a variety of social-emotional learning topics, including suicide prevention. His scholarly interests involve researching and designing innovative solutions to systemic issues in K-12 education. His past endeavors include the creation of the EVOLVE Evaluation System for virtual learning environments and the Thriving Schools executive leadership program for school administrators and Thriving Teachers platform for classroom teachers.
