Department of English and Linguistics
I'm an Associate Professor in the Department of English and Linguistics at Purdue University Fort Wayne (formerly Indiana University-Purdue University Fort Wayne), where I teach courses in technical writing, writing for multiple media, digital literacy, and project and content management. My research interests include cultural rhetorics and pedagogies, professional and technical communication, and workplace studies. I am most interested in how mentoring is rhetorical work that creates, enacts, and sustains multidisciplinary learning in a variety of classroom and workplace situations.
I'm currently working on a research project that examines how chronically ill patients and their medical providers build care networks that facilitate or improve patient-provider communication.
