Dr. Janet Badia is Dean of the College of Liberal Arts and Professor of Women's Studies. She served as Director of the Women's Studies Program from 2009-2021.
She publishes on Sylvia Plath, the literary reception of post-1950s women's writing, and the discourse about women readers that shapes literary history. Her books include Sylvia Plath and the Mythology of Women Readers (University of Massachusetts Press) and Reading Women: Literary Figures and Cultural Icons from the Victorian Age to the Present (University of Toronto Press).
