A New Era
July 2, 2018
Dear Colleagues,
Welcome to Purdue University Fort Wayne!
Today, we begin the next chapter of this great university. With renewed vitality and determination, we now set out together to build on the past and shape the future that will be Purdue Fort Wayne.
During the past several months — and with growing momentum during the past few weeks — our alumni, friends, donors, and other members of our community have expressed their renewed support for Purdue Fort Wayne. It is a university they helped build, a university they love, and a university that we all proudly share.
I hope each of you will take a moment today to give yourselves — and each other — a well-deserved pat on the back. We have worked hard to get to this point, and I think we all agree it was worth it. The realignment process has been complex and, at times, challenging. But we have risen admirably to the task. What was once a daunting prospect and an endless to-do list is rapidly becoming a mission accomplished.
Bravo! Well done.
While we pause today to reflect on the past and anticipate the future, let us each rededicate ourselves to dreaming big, to aiming high, and to ensuring that our university reaches its fullest potential. In many ways, our work is just beginning, and it is with great purpose that we will welcome the inaugural class of Purdue Fort Wayne this fall. Let’s make it the best year ever.
Thank you for all that you do to make this such a wonderful university.
Sincerely,
Ron Elsenbaumer
Chancellor
