PFW to Implement 2 Percent Merit Pool for FY 2025

Dear Colleagues,

The heart of our university is you—the faculty and staff who have an unwavering commitment to excellence that is instrumental in providing our students with a first-rate education and enriching experiences that they will carry with them throughout their lives.

In recognition of your dedication and hard work, the executive leadership team continues to place a high priority on ensuring an annual merit program as part of its overall compensation package. Therefore, I’m pleased to announce that we are implementing a 2 percent merit pool for FY 2025.

Merit increases, which will be applied to permanent base salaries for eligible faculty and staff, will be effective July 1, 2024. To be eligible for a merit increase, a faculty or staff member must have been in a benefits-eligible position on January 1, 2024; must currently be in good standing; and must not have received any other recurring increase during 2024.

As a reminder, the annual budget for each institution in the Purdue system is developed and managed by the respective institution. Pay increases are subject to the financial health of the individual institution and the availability of funds in its annual budget. Each institution, therefore, develops, announces, and administers its own plan for merit increases.
