The purpose of Professional Development Fund is to provide financial support and sponsorship to programs that will benefit the Purdue Fort Wayne Administrative/Professional staff community through work-related conferences, lectures, workshops, seminars and classes.
The APSAC Professional Development Stipend was established to assist administrative and professional staff with the costs of professional development opportunities including but not limited to conferences, workshops, seminars, special trainings, etc.
Professional Development Stipend Criteria
To be eligible for an award of $150 per year toward professional development activities a staff/employee must:

- Be a member of APSAC.
- Be employed with Purdue Fort Wayne for at least six months.
- Apply at least three weeks prior to the date of the professional development activity, or at least three weeks prior to the date funds must be applied, to allow time for application approval and disbursement of funds.
- Have confirmed approval from their supervisor(s) to attend the professional development opportunity and to take time off, if necessary. This can be in the form of an email, memo, or scanned document, but it must be uploaded to this application to be considered.
- Complete the online Professional Development Stipend application, which includes: a brief description of the professional development opportunity, how the professional development opportunity applies to the employee's current position at PFW, and how the stipend will be used.
