2024 Undergraduate History Conference
Helmke Library Idea Space
Encouraging and supporting undergraduate research is one of the goals of PFW’s Department of History. The Annual Undergraduate History Conference is an opportunity for History Majors and other history students to present their historical research to an academic and community audience.
The 2024 Undergraduate History Conference will be held in the Helmke Library IdeaSpace from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM on Saturday, March 23. The event page on the university calendar for the conference has been updated to include a link to the registration page which includes the conference program. The conference is an opportunity for history majors and other history students to present their historical research to an academic and community audience.
This year fifteen students (our highest number of presenters ever!) will present, including majors in history, secondary education, political science, sociology, anthropology, and English, presenting their research on a wide range of topics, including including the Holocaust, European imperialism, revolutions around the world, venereal disease in urban America, American music history, American travel narratives, and so much more! You can check out the full program and register for the conference here: https://purdue.ca1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_esncODVvVpoBwN0
If you have questions, please contact Dr. Ann Livschiz ([email protected]).
We will have breakfast, coffee and snacks, and then lunch at the end of the conference. Lunch will be provided for those who register by Wednesday, March 20.
