The Death of Gender '23

We are hosting a mock funeral in honor of past selves/identities and celebrating new selves and identities. Join us outside of the Engineering Tech Building (ETCS), in front of Bon Bons by the statue/monument in the courtyard where anyone can write their grievances about their gender or bodies, or can include symbols of old gender identities, and/or write their dead names where we will cast them inside a coffin, followed by a procession across campus and a brief eulogy commemorating The Death of Gender as a construct in our lives. Come dressed in big ol' easy style funeral clothing--or whatever "extra" outfit you'd like!

***Note: We will be taking the contents of the coffin to an offsite location to burn the paper statements in a firepit, the ashes will be kept in a commemorative urn in The Q Center, the contents in the coffin will not be read after being sealed. This is a symbolic and performative event.
