Holocaust Remembrance: The Threat to Democracy & LGBTQ+ Rights

Join us for a very special discussion about the complexities of Nazi persecution of the LGBTQ+ community. We will be joined by professor's Dr. Steve Carr (Professor of Communication; Director of Inst. for Holocaust & Genocide Studies) and Dr. Stevie Scheurich (Assistant Professor of Women's Studies) to shed light and give context to LGBTQ people during the holocaust, we'll also trace it to todays sociopolitical climate to provide a bigger picture on perceptions of queer people, DEI initiatives, and ongoing oppression and threats to diversity and democracy that still exist today.
