Mental Health Awareness Week: October 9-13

Across campus

Students, faculty and staff will have the opportunity to show support for mental health during Mental Health Awareness Week, October 9-13. 

Various activities and events are scheduled throughout the campus which promote ways to improve or maintain your mental health.

Stand Together for Mental Health

Are you mindful of your mental health? Most of us go to the doctor for annual checkups. But how often do you check your mental health? Being mindful of your mental health is just as important as checking your physical health.

Join us for free activities and events which focus on mental health during Mental Health Awareness Week from October 9-13.

Monday, October 9

  • Kayaking on the River | 8 a.m.-Noon | On the river | Register here or on the WellRec app under reservations. Please dress accordingly because it could be a little chilly.
  • Resource Table | Noon-2 p.m. | Walb Union, Atrium

Tuesday, October 10 | 11 a.m.-1 p.m. | Alumni Plaza

  • You Grow Girl! Succulent Planting—one plant starter per person while supplies last
  • Free Mental Health Awareness t-shirts—one per person while supplies last
  • Free snacks and refreshments

  • Breathing for Relaxation Workshop | 2:05-2:15 p.m. | Virtual ZOOM
  • Canvas and Chats | 4-7 p.m. | Walb Union, Suite 222-226 (Students Only)
