Special Screening: From Ground Zero

Fort Wayne Cinema Center

Cinema Center, in partnership with the Indiana Center for Middle East Peace, invites the community to an exclusive screening of From Ground Zero on Friday, February 7, 2025. Doors open at 5:00 PM, and the screening begins at 6:00 PM at Cinema Center.

From Ground Zero is an extraordinary collection of 22 short films that shed light on the Palestinian experience through deeply personal and compelling stories. As Palestine's official entry for the 2025 Academy Awards, the film has earned a well deserved spot on the Oscars’ shortlist for Best International Feature, making waves globally with its raw, honest storytelling.

Following the film, engage in a post-screening panel featuring Dr. Thaer Ahmad, Dr. Ahmed Abdelmageed, and Tareq Abu Halima, moderated by Farah Combs. Together, they’ll explore the film’s themes, share personal insights, and offer attendees an opportunity to delve deeper into the stories that make up this remarkable anthology.

This event gives the Northeast Indiana community a chance to experience an Oscar-worthy piece of cinema, and join a meaningful discussion about the intersection of art, identity, and justice.
