Well-being Summit: Mental Health and Self-Care Spa Activities

Mental health, or behavioral health, plays a major part of your well-being. The Well-being Summit will provide health screenings, activities, mental health and self-care activities, educational and informational resources at the Well-being Summit.
Stop by to pet therapy dogs, pot a free plant for your home or office, relax with a massage or skincare treatment. talk with health and wellness professionals, and more.
Unfortunately, the miniature therapy horse and trainer had to cancel and will not be at the Summit as planned.
All activities take place in the International Ballroom unless noted otherwise. Registration links for the massage therapy and spa treatments as well as the Painting with a Twist Party are listed below.

Attend the Well-being Summit
The health and well-being of our students, faculty, and staff is very important. The Well-Being Summit offers health screenings and activities which focus on the Five Pillars of Health for overall well-being from the Healthy Boiler Program—behavioral or mental health, financial wellness, physical health, social wellness, and work-life integration.
Whether you want to pet therapy dogs, plant a potted plant for your office or home, talk with vendors about their services—the Well-being Summit provides all kinds of fun activities for our campus community.

Mental health is an important part of your well-being. There are many ways to promote your mental health including making time for self-care activities, having pets or plants, eating fresh fruits and vegetables, having hobbies, socializing with others, or seeking help when needed. All activities take place in the International Ballroom unless noted otherwise. Please note the times and if you need to register for an activity.
- Massage Therapy and Spa Treatments: Shanti Therapeutic Center | Appointments: 9 a.m.-Noon; Walk-ins: Noon-4 p.m.
- Mental Health Support—Anxiety and Depression Surveys: PFW Center for Student Counseling | 10 a.m.-1 p.m.
- Mental Health Information and Resources at the Vendor Resource Fair | 10 a.m.-1 p.m.
- Planting Party: Roots and Rocks | 10 a.m.-1 p.m. or until the plants are gone
- Oxygen Bar by Rivers Relaxation: 20 minutes | Appointments: 10 a.m.-Noon | Walk-ins: Noon-1 p.m. | Register
- Cornhole Game: WellRec Fitness Center and PFW Intramurals | 10 a.m.-1 p.m. | Walb Union, first floor bookstore hallway
- Therapy Dogs: Three Rivers Visiting Dogs | 11 a.m.-1 p.m.
NOTE: The Miniature Therapy Horse and trainer had to cancel and will not be at the Summit as planned. We will try to schedule them for another date.

Over 40 vendors will provide free health screenings, activities, mental health and self-care activities, educational and informational resources at the Well-being Summit. Certain health screenings and activities require registration.
Events are free and will be held in the Walb Union, International Ballroom unless otherwise noted. All currently enrolled students on campus, faculty, and staff are highly encouraged to attend and participate in the Well-being Summit.
Please enter the ballroom at the General Check-in area to participate in the Vendor Resource Fair. Take time to meet with vendors, make a potted plant, pet therapy dogs or enjoy a self-care spa activity. Pick up a free Well-being Summit t-shirt—one per person—while supplies last.
The Well-being Summit provides an opportunity for our campus community to:
- Attend health screenings including Francine's Friends Mobile Mammography Unit.
- Relax with fun mental health activities and self-care spa activities.
- Meet with health and well-being professionals and discover wellness resources at the Vendor Resource Fair. View and download the list of vendors.
- Pet therapy dogs.
- Receive free t-shirts (one per person—while supplies last).
- Plant a potted plant at the Roots and Rocks Planting Party station.
- Play Cornhole games.
- Enjoy Grab and Go Snacks in the ballroom or take them to go.
- Paint a Mastodon-themed painting at the free Painting with a Twist Party at 4:30 p.m.
- Gather friends for Ryan Niemiller's free Cripple Threat of Comedy Show at 7 p.m.

Mark your calendar and be sure to attend this year's Well-being Summit.
4:30-6 p.m. | Walb Union, Classic Ballroom
Unwind after work or class for a fun evening of painting and socializing while you paint a Mastodon-themed masterpiece. No painting experience required. Heavy appetizers, fruit and veggie trays, and bottled water will be served. Open to students, faculty, and staff. Visit the Events Calendar for more details.
Register early for this event as there is a limit of 25 participants.
Despite being born with a disability in both arms, Ryan Niemiller—the self-proclaimed "Cripple Threat of Comedy"—shares his views of the world from the perspective of the disabled in his comedy performance. Niemiller was a 3rd place finalist in America's Got Talent, Season 14. Doors will open at 6 p.m.
The show is open to students, faculty, staff, and the public. Tickets are FREE and can be picked up at the Schatzlein Box Office in the Music Center or you can order them online to select your own seats.
