Well-being Summit: Therapy Dogs

Walb Student Union International Ballroom

Owning a pet or being around animals can help you de-stress, improve your outlook, and help with anxiety or depression. Most of all, petting our furry friends is calming and makes you feel good. The very popular Three Rivers Visiting Dogs will be at the Well-being Summit from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Please note: The miniature therapy horse and trainer had to cancel their visit and will not be able to make the Summit as planned.

Other events and activities at the Summit such as health screenings, mental health activities, and self-care spa activities are listed below along with registration links if applicable.

Attend the Well-being Summit

The health and well-being of our students, faculty, and staff is very important. The Well-Being Summit offers health screenings and activities which focus on the Five Pillars of Health for overall well-being from the Healthy Boiler Program—behavioral health, financial wellness, physical health, social wellness, and work-life integration.

Whether you want to pet therapy dogs, plant a potted plant for your office or home, talk with vendors about their services—the Well-being Summit provides all kinds of fun activities for our campus community.

10 a.m.-1 p.m. | Walb Union, International ballroom

Over 40 vendors will provide free health screenings, activities, mental health and self-care activities, educational and informational resources at the Well-being Summit. Certain health screenings and activities require registration.

Events are free and will be held in the Walb Union, International Ballroom unless otherwise noted. All currently enrolled students on campus, faculty, and staff are highly encouraged to attend and participate in the Well-being Summit.

Please enter the ballroom at the General Check-in area to participate in the Vendor Resource Fair. Take time to meet with vendors, make a potted plant, pet therapy dogs or enjoy a self-care spa activity. Pick up a free Well-being Summit t-shirt—one per person—while supplies last.
