We look forward to welcoming you to our campus! As a participant of a youth program at Purdue Fort Wayne, it is vital that you have the latest information and that you come prepared before your youth program begins. Here are steps to get you started:
Step 1: Identify which programs you are interested in and can join.
Youth programs at Purdue Fort Wayne take on various forms and are designed for different age groups. The term "youth programs" is a generic term that we use for any program, camp, event, or activity that is geared toward k-12 students (under 18 years old). This means that a youth program can be a 1-day event, a camp for several weeks, or even a weekly program throughout the school year. Some programs are free while others involve additional fees.
As a student, you have the option of participating in as many programs as you would like. This gives you an opportunity to learn from different members of our Purdue Fort Wayne community. Make sure you check out the Program List to know which is the most suitable program for you and when they occur.
Step 2: Register for the programs by their due date.
Each program has its own unique deadline for registration. Registration also happens online/digitally, which means you will need access to the internet when you begin and complete your registration. Once you enter the registration portal, read and follow the instructions carefully.
Step 3: Prepare materials that are required for participation.
Some programs might expect you to bring some basic supplies (e.g. notebook, pencil, folders, laptops, etc.) while others will provide materials for you. Double check the program requirements to make sure you come prepared on the first day. Check your email or your programs' communications channel (e.g. website or social media) to make sure you don't miss important information.
Step 4: Have a great first day!
When the program officially starts, bring your enthusiasm, energy, and interest, and enjoy your experience!
Should you have questions or concerns, you are always welcome to reach out to us. Check the list of Program Directors for their contact information.
