Pati Jinich Speaking at Omnibus Speaker Series

In the News

Cookbook author Pati Jinich simmers with more than Mexican recipes

When Pati Jinich resigned from her position as a policy analyst with a Washington, D.C., think tank, her colleagues thought she was leaving serious work behind.

Cooking her native Mexican cuisine and teaching others her techniques didn’t seem like an impressive career move at the time.

Fast forward 15 years and the star of the long-running PBS cooking show “Pati’s Mexican Table” is deeply involved in what might be described as taco diplomacy. Her favorite way to bond with a stranger is to ask what kind of food they ate while growing up.

Jinich’s visit is the last in PFW’s 2024–25 Omnibus Speaker Series.
