Education Notebook: Fort Wayne students among top teams in collegiate economic challenge
Three Purdue University Fort Wayne business school students placed among the top 15% of teams in a recent national competition sponsored by the Federal Reserve Board.
About 120 teams participated in the 21st annual College Fed Challenge, which encourages undergraduates to learn about the U.S. economy, monetary policymaking and the role of the Federal Reserve System, according to the competition’s website.
The Purdue Fort Wayne team—economics majors Carson Morton, Pia Briz and Josh Fairchild—was the only group from northeast Indiana.
The Doermer School of Business students placed among the top three teams from the Chicago region, a district that comprises portions of Indiana, Illinois, Michigan and Wisconsin along with Iowa.
