Education Notebook: Purdue Fort Wayne professor becomes fossil's namesake
A Purdue University Fort Wayne professor is now the namesake of a fossil discovered in South America thanks to his longtime international colleagues.
In this case, the group – Guiseppe Leonardi, Marcello Adorna Fernandes, Ismar de Souza Carvalho, Julia Beatrice Schutzer and Rafael Costa da Silva – named the fossil Farlowichnus rapidus in honor of James Farlow, emeritus professor of geology and adjunct professor of biology at PFW.
