Middle school band students get head start with PFW

Zen Gunawardhana, Khasia Conley, and dozens of other Fort Wayne middle schoolers are spending Tuesday evenings taking extra lessons from college music students.

These extra classes are certainly productive, not only for the younger students, but their instructors as well.

Ethan Hacker attends Purdue Fort Wayne, where he is studying to be a band director.

He and his college classmates have found their love for music, and they hope to spread that to any young musicians who may be looking ahead.
