New AI technology brings future of plastic recycling to Fort Wayne
Part of the solution to our growing plastic problem is being developed in Fort Wayne.
It's a machine that uses Artificial Intelligence to sort plastics that are prepared to be recycled.
It's a partnership between UHV Technologies of Fort Wayne and the Purdue University of Fort Wayne. Dr. Bin Chen is the associate professor behind the program. He leads a team that works to teach the computer how to identify different types of plastic.
