New study finds salary needed to live comfortably in Fort Wayne higher than current average
How much money does it take to live comfortably in Fort Wayne? A newly released study crunched the numbers and the results may surprise you.
On Tuesday, Smart Asset released a study on what salary is needed to live comfortably in 2024. Officials with the site say the study considered 99 of the largest U.S. cities and used the latest data from the MIT Living Wage Calculator.
The study states, that to live comfortably in Fort Wayne a single adult household needs to make an hourly wage of $40.40 or a salary of $84,032. A salary of $200,262 is needed for a two-working adult household with two children.
Purdue University Fort Wayne’s Director of Community Research Institute Rachel Blakeman says data shows the average salary for someone living in Fort Wayne is $56,000.
