News of Crisler’s honor picked up state-wide

Curtis L. Crisler, a professor in the Department of English and Linguistics in the College of Liberal Arts at Purdue University Fort Wayne was asked to keep the big news secret from everyone—except his mother—until the official announcement of his selection as the next Indiana Poet Laureate was officially released by the Indiana Arts Commission on Thursday. A few hours later, calls and emails were flooding in.
