PFW music expansion receives state OK
Purdue University Fort Wayne’s proposed $22 million music center addition struck the right note with the state’s higher education leaders.
The Indiana Commission for Higher Education – which by law must review construction projects exceeding $2 million – recommended approval Thursday to the State Budget Agency and the State Budget Committee.
The 26,000-square-foot addition is needed because existing on- and off-campus music facilities are operating at maximum capacity, and enrollment is expected to grow, Christopher Ruhl, Purdue’s chief financial officer, said in a Feb. 15 letter provided to the commission.
