Step Afrika! 101 energizes audience at PFW

A sizable and enthusiastic crowd that gathered to see a free performance delivered by Step Afrika! on Monday night at Auer Performance Hall on the campus of Purdue University Fort Wayne was not disappointed.

Step Afrika! describes itself as the world's leading authority on the art form of stepping. Performances blend percussive dance styles practiced by historically African American fraternities and sororities; traditional African dances; and an array of contemporary dance and art forms.

The event was part of PFW’s observance of Black History Month.
