FW Cycle House opens with assistance of Northeast Indiana Small Business Development Center

News Release

Cycling Studio is latest success story from Small Business Development Center

FORT WAYNE, Ind.—The Northeast Indiana Small Business Development Center (NE-ISBDC), which is hosted by Purdue University Fort Wayne, has been busy helping small businesses all around our community this year. Eric Purnell and Laura Niezer are just two of the many residents who are devoted to the city, and that’s why they wanted to bring something new to the Fort.

The FW Cycle House is the city’s first premium indoor cycling studio that offers equipment with the latest technology in a more intimate setting than a traditional gym. About nine months ago, Purnell and Niezer approached the NE-ISBDC with their business idea. Scot Goskowicz was the business advisor who helped develop their idea into a business.

Purnell says, “Scot is an expert in small business development, organizing financials, and bringing the numbers to life in a way that allowed us to bring our dream to Fort Wayne.” With a sizable startup investment, the NE-ISBDC went to work providing them assistance, such as help with financial matters, marketing, social media, and providing a better understanding of how small businesses work and succeed.

He believes the NE-ISBDC is “critical to the success of northeast Indiana. In order to continue to advance, to develop and retain talent, we need someone looking out for our community.” That’s something the NE-ISBDC takes on.

Goskowicz is also very proud of Fort Wayne. When working with the couple, he told them, “I get more and more excited about this venture you’re bringing to our city. Expanding the cycling and boutique wellness market is a great thing for our city and its people.”

Thanks in part to the dedicated and talented team at the NE-ISBDC, the FW Cycle House will celebrate its grand opening on Wednesday, October 30, at 10020 Lima Road, Suite 3. Visit their website, fwcyclehouse.com, for more details.
