Gold Top Music Group and artist Bear Case celebrate first album release Thursday night

FORT WAYNE, Ind.—Students, staff, faculty, and the community are invited to Gold Top Music Group’s first-ever album release party Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. This Purdue University Fort Wayne Campus Kickoff event will celebrate the release of Brain Soup, the debut album of singer-songwriter Bear Case.

Case, a December 2020 graduate of Purdue Fort Wayne, was one of the first students to earn a degree in popular music from the College of Visual and Performing Arts’ School of Music. She was introduced Aug. 2 as the first artist signed by Gold Top, the university’s new in-house recording company and record label.

Man of the Flood, consisting of Gold Top’s second signed artists, will also perform.

Food trucks will be serving up their specialties during the party, and the first 200 students in attendance will receive $10 vouchers to use at the trucks.

The celebration will take place outside the Student Housing Clubhouse in the back yard amphitheatre. Attendees are advised to use the Trier Road entrance to student housing. Bringing lawn chairs and/or blankets for seating is also recommended. Admission is free.
