'Make Your Mark' on annual Day of Giving

FORT WAYNE, Ind.—Purdue University Fort Wayne continues to welcome students — some in person and some online — back for the fall semester. Their presence shows that higher education remains a powerful and vital force in our community.

To sustain this positive impact, Purdue Fort Wayne hosts an annual Day of Giving to encourage others to support the lasting success of its students by making a monetary gift, which is tax deductible, to the university.

The theme of this year’s Day of Giving, which will take place Wednesday between midnight and 11:59 p.m., is “Make Your Mark.” With COVID-19 serving as a stark reminder of the challenges many Purdue Fort Wayne students must overcome, university leaders are encouraging potential donors to consider taking this opportunity to invest in the region’s future.

“Amidst the uncertainties we all are facing, our students and their needs remain our top priority,” said Ruth L. Stone, vice chancellor for development and alumni relations. “This is why we are asking for your support during our second annual Day of Giving. Every gift you make will help our students transform from thinkers and dreamers into doers and makers.”

You can make your mark by simply visiting the university’s secure Day of Giving donation page.

“These are 24 important hours when we invite you to show your commitment to our students, their education, and the university,” added Chancellor Ronald L. Elsenbaumer. “This online, social media-driven fundraising effort invites everyone to make a special gift to their favorite Purdue Fort Wayne program.”
