PFW Students unveil new spirit mark
FORT WAYNE, Ind.—Purdue University Fort Wayne Student Body President Lewis Ostermeyer announced at New Student Orientation today that all of the new branding being done at the university included something special for the students.
“With all of the changes taking place on campus, we are thrilled that the students are a part of this logo, otherwise known as a spirit mark,” said Ostermeyer. “The spirit mark will be used to add spirit to every place on campus for students to build pride and a community.”
Purdue Fort Wayne and branding partner SME worked closely with student leadership to come up with the spirit mark, which features the beloved Mastodon and highlights the university’s official school colors of gold and black.
“This is another exciting day for our university and for our students,” says Ronald L. Elsenbaumer, chancellor of Purdue University Fort Wayne. “The pride continues to grow across campus, and this offers one more great way to show that pride.”
The new spirit mark will be very visible this week and next as it is prominently featured on giveaways planned for every day during Welcome Back Week.
