Engage Our Students
Are you interested in working with Purdue Fort Wayne students as a sponsor of faculty‑supported student projects? We can connect you to low-cost opportunities in engineering design, market research, management strategy, graphic design, information technology, and many other areas through students in our various colleges and schools.
We provide a connection for projects that are applicable to the students’ curriculum and that provide them with good learning experiences, while creating opportunities that benefit businesses as well. This is also a great way to get your company name on campus and to begin to interact with students as potential future employees.
Get Started
Academic projects typically begin in August or January for senior design and other types of course-based projects. We begin to solicit project proposals from our industrial partners in the late spring for the fall-semester projects (August) and in the early fall for spring-semester projects (January). To learn more, contact Sean Ryan, Director of Engagement, at 260-481-0286 or [email protected] .
Service Learning
Service-learning opportunities give our students a chance to make an impact in the Fort Wayne community while earning credit. If you have a project or partnership idea that meets identifiable community needs and provides students an increased sense of civic responsibility, contact us to discuss engagement options.
