Meet Marcia Dixson
Marcia Dixson, Ph.D., associate vice chancellor for teaching and learning, leads initiatives for faculty support and resources. Dixson, associate professor of communication, earned a B.S.E. and M.A. in English education from Northeast Missouri State University (now Truman State University) and a Ph.D. in communication research from University of Iowa, Iowa City. She began at Purdue Fort Wayne in 1993 as an assistant professor.
Besides teaching and doing research in family communication and scholarship of teaching and learning, she has served in several administrative roles: basic course director, graduate director and chair of the Department of Communication, and the first director of the Center for Enhancement of Teaching and Learning.
