About IAGBT

The International Academy of Global Business and Trade (IAGBT) is an international not-for-profit scholarly association devoted to the promotion of research in international trade, finance, manufacturing, retailing, agricultural economy, tourism, information technology, e-commerce, entrepreneurship, and publication of global business and economic research.

Objectives

The objectives of the IAGBT are:

• To stimulate business and economic research, specifically in the areas of the international field.
• To promote the study of global business and trade through the publication of scholarly works and the sponsorship of conferences.
• To provide timely and objective analysis of, and concrete solutions to, a wide range of international business and economic problems.
• To produce and distribute knowledge of global issues that are of exceptional interest to academic, business, and other leaders of society to shape global, regional and industry agendas.
• To provide a platform for networking, access to information and learning; to contribute to a better understanding of global issues.

In this regard, IAGBT holds two conferences each year – one in the summer and one in the winter – all over the world.

History and Background

The IAGBT was founded in 2005 by a prestigious group of academics and professionals. The organization’s goals are to provide resources to scholars and practitioners in international and related fields and to promote communication between them. Since its formation about 20 years ago, IAGBT has expanded to include research units from academic institutions around the globe. A total of over 20 countries are represented by the professional members of the Association. These include Australia, Austria, Bangladesh, Canada, China, Ireland, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Mexico, Mongolia, the Netherlands, the Philippines, Poland, Romania, Singapore, Spain, Taiwan, Thailand, Turkey, United Kingdom, United States and Vietnam.

Conference and Publication

IAGBT membership is open to everyone, and you are welcome to join and enjoy the benefits. The Institute is currently publishing one academic journal (Journal of Global Business and Trade) as well as four sister journals (Journal of Asia Trade and Business, Journal of East Asian Trade, Journal of International Trade & Commerce, and Journal of Northeast Asian Business and Economics). A scholar or professional interested in international trade, finance and global business around the world is welcome to join and attend IAGBT conferences, which are held twice a year, as well as submit their research to its journal.
