Dr. Beaumont S. Cornell Scholarship
To be eligible for this scholarship, students must declare a major that helps prepare them to become a medical doctor. Students must also be a graduate of a high school in Indiana.

Leo and Jack Jehl Memorial Scholarship
This scholarship is open to all full-time and part-time junior and senior biology majors. Preference will be given to returning adult students. Candidates must be nominated by the biological sciences department.
George E. Hook Scholarship
This scholarship is open to PFW sophomores or above who plan to become doctors by attending the IU School of Medicine.
Arthur W. Friedel Scholarship
This scholarship is awarded to a chemistry major based on academic achievement.
David P. Onwood Scholarship
This scholarship is awarded to a chemistry major based on academic achievement.
Dr. Beaumont S. Cornell Scholarship
To be eligible for this scholarship, students must declare a major that helps prepare them to become a medical doctor. Students must also be a graduate of a high school in Adams, Allen, or Huntington County.

Ken Stevenson Outstanding Chemistry Major Award
This scholarship is awarded to a chemistry major based on academic achievement.
Leepoxy Scholarship
This scholarship is awarded to a chemistry major who exhibits outstanding academic achievement.
Outstanding Chemistry Major
This award recognizes leadership, ability, character, and scholastic achievement of a chemistry major. It is presented to a top graduating senior.
Outstanding Freshman Chemistry Award
This annual award is given to a first-year undergraduate student who exhibits excellence in chemistry. Selection is based on academic performance in chemistry, understanding and awareness of chemistry as a scientific discipline, and understanding and awareness of the role of chemistry in our world.
The award includes the Handbook of Chemistry and Physics.
Outstanding Student Affiliate Award
This award is given to a student whose activity and efforts on behalf of the student affiliates have made the organization exceptionally effective for the academic year.
Robert E. Wise Arts and Sciences Scholarship
This award is shared among seven departments on a rotating basis.
Stephen P. and Charlotte A. Coburn Endowed Biochemistry Scholarship
This scholarship is awarded to a biochemistry major who exhibits outstanding academic achievement.
Undergraduate Award in Inorganic Chemistry
Sponsored by the American Chemical Society’s Division of Inorganic Chemistry, this award, which features a letter of recognition and a certificate, is given to a graduating chemistry major.
Undergraduate Award in Organic Chemistry
Sponsored by the American Chemical Society’s Division of Organic Chemistry, this award, which features a letter of recognition and a certificate, is given to a graduating chemistry major who displays a significant aptitude for organic chemistry.
Undergraduate Award in Physical Chemistry
Sponsored by the American Chemical Society’s Division of Physical Chemistry, this award, which features a letter of recognition and a certificate, is given to a graduating chemistry major.
William F. Erbelding Award in Analytical Chemistry
Awarded by the American Chemical Society, this scholarship recognizes outstanding performance by a student in an analytical chemistry course. Winners will receive an eight-month subscription to the Analytical Chemistry journal.
After Sorority All Philanthropic (ASAP)
This award includes tuition reduction for a senior CSD major with high academic achievement and financial need. The recipient will be selected by CSD faculty. A plaque displayed in the CSD department office recognizes this award.
The tuition reduction awards typically range from $500 to $1,000. Awards range from $250 to $500. These amounts vary from year to year.
Anne M. Balentine Foundation Scholarship
This award features tuition reduction for a junior or senior CSD major who demonstrates meritorious scholarship and a career interest in working with persons with multiple disabilities.
The foundation was established by Mr. and Mrs. Conrad Balentine of Bluffton, Indiana, in honor of their daughter, Anne, who was severely disabled.
Downtown Sertoma, William Doctor/Charles Henry Jr. Communicative Disorders Memorial Scholarship
This scholarship features tuition reduction for a CSD major who demonstrates scholarly achievement and financial need.
It is provided by the Downtown Sertoma Club of Fort Wayne in honor of its deceased founding member/officer.
Linda L. Ruffolo Endowed Scholarship in Communication Sciences and Disorders
This scholarship includes tuition reduction for a sophomore, junior, or senior CSD major enrolled full-time with a minimum grade point average of 3.0 overall and 3.5 in the major. Financial need is preferred but not mandatory if based on merit.
Mrs. Ruffolo had an academic degree in CSD. She always had a special interest in the achievements of the CSD students.
Lucille J. Hess Endowed Scholarship in Communication Sciences and Disorders
This scholarship is awarded to a master's degree student in speech-language pathology.
Professor Emerita Hess was a member of the CSD faculty for over 40 years and was chair of the department from 2001 to 2011.
Outstanding CSD Major Award
This is a cash award provided by the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders to a graduating senior who has excelled in both scholarship and service, chosen by the CSD faculty.
David Legg Scholarship in Mathematics
This merit-based scholarship is supported by the Department of Mathematical Sciences and given to a math major in good standing with at least a 3.0 GPA in math disciplines. Preference will be given to rising sophomores and juniors.
Frank E. Engeler Mathematics Scholarship
To be eligible for this scholarship, students must be majoring in mathematics either through the College of Science or the School of Education (secondary education program). Students must have achieved a sophomore class standing or above and have at least a 3.0 cumulative GPA. Preference will be given to students based on merit rather than financial need. This award is contingent on funds being available. The application deadline is March 4.
Lowell W. Beineke Mathematics Scholarship
To be eligible for this scholarship, students must be majoring in mathematics, either through the College of Science or through the School of Education (secondary education program). Students must have sophomore standing or above with a GPA of at least 3.0. Awards are based on merit rather than financial need.
This scholarship is renewable as long as recipients continue to meet all criteria listed here. A student can receive this award for a maximum of six semesters. (Those semesters may be consecutive or nonconsecutive.) The application deadline is January 31.
Mathematical Sciences Alumni Scholarship
To be eligible for this scholarship, students must intend to and enroll full-time as a freshman majoring in mathematics and be admitted to the university by early April. Candidates must submit a letter of application, including name, address, Social Security number, telephone number, and the name of the high school the student attended. Students should also submit a high school transcript that reflects grades received through the end of the seventh semester (middle of the senior year). In addition, two letters of recommendation from teachers who have had the student in class, including at least one mathematics teacher, must be filed with the Department of Mathematical Sciences. The university must receive a copy of the student’s SAT or ACT scores. The student must place into MA 16500 Analytical Geometry and Calculus I on the mathematics placement test or the mathematics placement test that Purdue University administers at the student’s high school. The deadline to apply is February 28.
Maynard Mansfield Scholarship in Mathematics
This merit-based scholarship is supported by the Department of Mathematical Sciences and given to a math major in good standing with at least a 3.0 GPA in math disciplines. Preference will be given to rising sophomores and juniors.
