Advising details

What you need to know.

As an education or human services student, you’ll work closely with your School of Education advisor to stay on track.

Use myBLUEprint or Navigate in goPFW to find your primary advisor. You can also download the Navigate app on your mobile device (available for iOS and Android).

It’s important to meet with your advisor each semester. If you are struggling for any reason, you can reach out to your advisor and they will connect you with support resources. It is best to meet with your advisor twice per semester. But at a minimum, you should meet with your advisor before every registration period. Your advisor will reach out to you via Navigate to schedule an appointment.

  • Progress reports and alerts from faculty
  • Identifying helpful resources for your success
  • Class registration
  • Adding or dropping a class
  • Withdrawing from classes
  • Adding a minor
  • Academic improvement plans
  • Campus engagement opportunities

You can register or withdrawal from a course in goPFW, but it is important to meet with your advisor prior to making these decisions and changes. There are strict deadlines and rules for withdrawing from a course, and your advisor is the best person to help make sure that you are on the right path. For specific withdrawal deadlines, see the academic calendar.
