What We Do

Cultivating a spirit of unity and friendship among international and local students

Promoting academic, social and cultural interactions between Bangladeshi students and other members of the community, both on local and international levels

The purposes and objectives of this organization are

  1. To cultivate a spirit of unity and friendship among the international/local students.

  2. To help members in all aspects as international students and provide support for the Bangladeshi students at Purdue Fort Wayne.

  3. To act as a local representative of students from Bangladesh at Fort Wayne.

  4. To fosters and promote Bangladeshi and Bengali heritage and culture.

e. To promote academic, social and cultural interaction between Bangladeshi students and other members of the community, both on local and international levels.

Section I. Qualification

  1. Membership in this organization shall be open to all Purdue Fort Wayne students and may include a limited number of nonstudents.

  2. Fifty-one percent of the total membership must be currently enrolled students at Purdue Fort Wayne and only those members may vote, hold office, and represent the organization/university in an official capacity.

  3. The minimum membership requirement is 8 members. 

    4.         Membership and participation shall be free from discrimination and harassment per the policies of the Purdue Fort Wayne Code of Student Rights, Responsibilities, and Conduct as stated in Part I, Section A, Items 3 and 4.

 

Section II. Types of Membership

1.         Voting membership shall be open to all Purdue Fort Wayne students enrolled at least one credit hour. 

2.         Nonstudent memberships may be held by faculty, staff, alumni, or community members. These members may not vote, may not hold office, and may not represent the organization/university in an official capacity.

 

 

Section III. Financial Obligation

  1. There will be optional dues of $10 per year or $5 per semester. Each member's dues are to be paid by the second week of membership.

  2. Following the payment of dues, they may attend all meetings and social functions of the organization; they may attend all meetings and social functions of the organization and may vote.

  3. Upon payment of dues, a person will be placed on the voting members list.  Non-payment of dues will result in a status of non-voting member on the members list.
