What We Do

Google Developers Group

Enhance your Tech skills, problem-solving abilities, leadership qualities as you learn, share and innovate through interactions and hands-on experiences,

  • Bring a chapter of Google Developer Groups on Campus to Purdue University Fort Wayne for students interested in Google technologies, enabling them to learn, share, and innovate through regular interactions and hands-on experiences.

  • Provide a platform for hosting technical workshops, tech talks, and speaker sessions.
  • Organize conferences, hackathons, and virtual meetups aimed at enhancing members’ technical skills, problem-solving abilities, and leadership qualities, preparing them for careers in the tech industry.
  • Build a strong developer community by hosting info sessions, watch parties, and networking events.
  • Organize events, encouraging students to collaborate on projects and develop creative solutions to real-world problems.
  • Participate in larger events, such as DevFests and virtual conferences, allowing students to connect with and learn from global developer communities. 

Section I. Qualification:

  1. Fifty-one percent of the total membership must be currently enrolled students at Purdue Fort Wayne and only those members may vote, hold office, and represent the organization/university in an official capacity.

  2. The minimum membership requirement is eight members.
  3. Membership and participation shall be free from discrimination and harassment per the policies of the Purdue Fort Wayne Code of Student Rights, Responsibilities, and Conduct as stated in Part I, Section A, Items 3 and 4.

Section II. Types of Membership

  1. Membership shall be open to all students currently enrolled in at least 3 credit hours at Purdue Fort Wayne.

  2. Non-voting memberships[EH1]  may be held by faculty, staff, alumni, non-Purdue Fort Wayne students, or community members.[SL2] 

Section III. Financial Obligation

  1. No fee would be required to attend or participate in any club meetings.

  2. No membership dues are required.
