What We Do
Join your Burmese brothers and sisters!
We strive to bring Burmese students together on campus, facilitating social connections and fostering a sense of belonging.
To provide a platform for students to engage in meaningful conversations about the challenges and conflicts facing Myanmar, ensuring that all voices are heard and valued.
We offer resources and support for students dealing with the emotional impact of conflicts in Myanmar, creating a network of solidarity and care.
Section I. Qualification:
Fifty-one percent of the total membership must be currently enrolled students at Purdue Fort Wayne and only those members may vote, hold office, and represent the organization/university in an official capacity.
The minimum membership requirement is eight members.
Membership and participation shall be free from discrimination and harassment per the policies of the Purdue Fort Wayne Code of Student Rights, Responsibilities, and Conduct as stated in Part I, Section A, Items 3 and 4.
Section II. Types of Membership
Voting membership shall be open to all students currently enrolled in at least one credit hour(s) at Purdue Fort Wayne.
Non-voting memberships may be held by faculty, staff, alumni, non-Purdue Fort Wayne students, or community members.
Section III. Financial Obligation
1. An annual membership fee of $10 is implemented to support the ongoing administration and enhancement of the organization. Members are required to pay this by the second week of membership. Failure to pay this will result in a status of “non-voting” members.
