What We Do

Robotic Engineering

Improve engineering and problem-solving skills through building robots and the practice of robotic competitions.

The purposes and objectives of this organization are:
         

  1. To gain industry connections through opportunities of social networking during competitions.

  2. To give students real world experience and use engineering skills to resolve problems. 

  3. Promotion, directed toward the advancement of the organization and its members to the university and the community.

Section I – Qualifications

 

  1. Membership in this organization shall be open to all Purdue Fort Wayne students and non-students, fifty-one (51) percent of the total membership must be currently enrolled students of Purdue Fort Wayne and only those members may vote, hold office, and represent the organization/university in an official capacity. 

  2. There is a membership requirement of a minimum of eight members.

  3. Membership and participation shall be free from discrimination and harassment per the policies of the Purdue Fort Wayne Code of Student Rights, Responsibilities, and Conduct as stated in Part I, Section A, Items 3 and 4.

 

Section II – Status

 

  1. Voting membership shall be open to all students currently enrolled in at least three credit hours at Purdue Fort Wayne.

  2. Faculty, staff, alumni, or community members may hold non-student memberships.  These members may not hold office, do not have voting privileges, and may not represent the organization/university in an official capacity.

Section III – Dues

 

  1. Each individual shall be required to pay the annual dues necessary for student membership status as prescribed to be $0.
