Piano Masterclass with Lucille Chung
Canadian pianist Lucille Chung has been acclaimed for her “stylish and refined performances” by Gramophone Magazine, “combining vigor and suppleness with natural eloquence and elegance” (Le Soir). She will work with piano students in a masterclass setting in advance of her performance with the Fort Wayne Philharmonic.

Gene Marcus Piano Competition Finals and Winners Recital
The annual Gene Marcus Piano Competition, now celebrating its 14th year, regularly attracts top, young pianists from Indiana, Michigan, and Ohio. Participants compete in four age divisions for cash prizes and Gene Marcus Piano Camp and Festival scholarships.

The King’s Singers
The King's Singers have set the gold standard in a cappella singing on the world’s greatest stages for over fifty years. They are renowned for their unrivaled technique, musicianship and versatility, which stem from both the group’s rich heritage and its drive to bring an extraordinary range of new and unique works, collaborations and recordings to life. The King’s Singers’ have received numerous awards, including two Grammy Awards, an Emmy Award, and a place in Gramophone magazine’s inaugural Hall of Fame.

Woodwind Day
PFW Woodwind Day is a single-day event specializing in various topics related to music making and woodwind playing. Join the PFW woodwind faculty for an afternoon of musical exploration, performances and masterclasses. The year's event will feature guest artist Michael Lowenstern, widely recognized as one of the most innovative bass clarinetists in the world, and has performed, recorded, and toured as a soloist and with ensembles of every variety. Bands Concert 
The university bands welcome Dr. Matthew Giallongo, director of Vocal Studies, as he performs selections including some of Copland’s Old American Songs. An “around the world” music trip is in store from the Symphonic Band and the concert will culminate in John Mackey’s monumental work Wine Dark Sea by the Symphonic Wind Ensemble.

By Truth, By Justice, and By Peace Choral Concert
Inspired by the Hebrew tenet that translates to “The world is sustained by three things: by truth, by justice, and by peace,” this powerful choral concert meditates on the importance of social justice that relies on truthful and peaceful action. This concert will feature over 100 singers from Chamber Treble Singers, Chamber Singers, and the University Singers. Conductors include Emily Bird, Jonathan Busarow, and Dr. William Sauerland, with collaborative pianists Irene Ator and Dr. Geoffrey North.

Guest Artist Concert – icarus Quartet
icarus Quartet (iQ) presents "Bartók Rebórn. Comprised of two pianists and two percussionists, icarus Quartet aspires to break the mold and fly to new heights in the world of contemporary music. This brand-new program features the seminal work for this instrumentation by Béla Bartók, the "Sonata for Two Pianos and Percussion," alongside three new commissions in response to Bartók's work by Martin Bresnick, Viet Cuong, and Pulitzer prize-winning composer, Jennifer Higdon.

Guest Artist Recital featuring Brenda Iglesias, contralto
and Jonathan Young, piano
The wide-ranging repertoire of Dr. Brenda Iglesias encompasses the principal contralto parts of the oratorio and concert repertoire, from the Baroque through the Classical and Romantic periods, as well as 20th-century music. Currently an assistant professor of voice at Binghamton University, Iglesias will be joined by faculty artist Dr. Jonathan Young, for an evening of song. She has performed throughout Mexico, the Czech Republic, and the United States.

Percussion Day 
Experience a day-long percussion intensive with PFW percussion professor, Dr. Matthew Keown. This free event is open to percussionists of all ages and abilities! Dr. Hamilton Tescarollo, professor of piano and director of Keyboard Studies, will present a solo piano program that includes J.S. Bach’s Toccata in E Minor, BWV 914; Mozart’s Sonata in D Major, KV 311; Chopin’s Scherzo No. 4 in E Major, Op. 54; and Villa-Lobos’ Bachianas Brasileiras No. 4.

Opera Ensemble and Orchestra present Gianni Schicchi
The Opera Ensemble, in conjunction with the University Orchestra directed by Kevin McMahon, will perform Gianni Schicchi by Puccini, a comedic opera about greed and cunning deception. After a wealthy man dies, his relatives discover he left his fortune to a monastery and enlist the clever Gianni Schicchi to alter the will. Schicchi agrees but tricks them by naming himself the sole heir, securing the fortune for his daughter and her true love. Directed by Dr. Belinda Andrews-Smith, Schicchi is presented in collaboration with Heartland Sings, and is a first-time collaboration between the Opera Ensemble and the Orchestra featuring PFW students, faculty, guest artists, and alumni.

Prokofiev War Sonatas + Beethoven
The second installment in this three-part recital series features Prokofiev's gripping Sonata No. 7, Op. 83, paired with Beethoven's Sonata No. 6, Op. 10/2, and Eleven Bagatelles, Op. 119. With a thematic focus on small-scale ecosystems, the program also includes Wu's Tiny Forests and Yoshimatsu's Six Vignettes, Op. 105.

Early Music Concert
A Courtesan, A Nun, and A Court Musician
Celebrating women composers of the 17th- and 18th-century Europe, the concert begins in the first half of the seventeenth century with two pieces of Italian stile modern: Barbara Strozzi’s heart-wrenching cantata “Lagrime Mie” followed by a fiery sonata composed by Italian nun Isabella Leonarda. The program continues with two compositions by French composer Élisabeth Jacquet de la Guerre: an elegant dance suite for solo harpsichord and a monumental sacred cantata, Esther, which showcases both instrumental brilliance and dramatic vocal pyrotechnics.
