Employee Well-being at Work: Teatime

Drinking tea is a great way to relax in the evening as part of your bedtime routine. Take a 10-minute break from work and join health coach Lindsay Bloom to sample teas and learn about the benefits of tea drinking. 

Attendees will receive a free mug.

Employee Well-being at Work

The Employee Well-being at Work event for faculty and staff in September will focus on adding the habit of drinking tea for a healthy way to relax during the day and a wind-down routine for better sleep.  We all know what it feels like when you don't get a good night's sleep; but did you know that good sleep can positively impact your behavioral health, while lack of sleep—especially if it becomes prolonged—can have a negative impact.

Our monthly theme and challenge—You Snooze, You...Win?! and Stick to Your Bedtime respectively—relate to the importance of a healthy sleep routine. They both can be used to help you prepare for the busy fall semester by establishing a time to wind down before going to sleep and sticking with this routine for the month.  

Visit the Employee Well-being web site for upcoming Healthy Boiler workshops for faculty and staff which promote behavioral health such as The Magical Power of Sleep, Healthy Aging, a series of retirement workshops and more.

Attendees will receive a mug when they participate in the Employee Well-being at Work events in September.

Employee Well-being at Work is a program where the Employee Well-being team will be available to meet with faculty and staff each month. Our team is focused on working for you and your well-being.

Each month we will visit a different building and offer health and well-being tips or health checks, healthy snacks, giveaways, and information about upcoming events and programs. We would also like to gather information about your biggest health and well-being concerns so we can create programs to address your needs.
