Cucumber Magnolia

Description
Cucumber magnolia is the hardiest of all magnolias native to the United States. In Indiana, it is naturally found only in the south. It grows best on cool, moist sites within its range. Its flowers are large, borne singly, bell shaped and greenish yellow. Its fruit is a green, cucumber-shaped cone. Its seeds ripen to bright red.
