Eastern Larch

Description
A deciduous conifer, the American larch has a phenomenally wide North American distribution, from Maine to Alaska, and from northern Indiana to the northern limits of tree growth in Canada. In Indiana, it grows only in peaty bogs and swampy margins of lakes and streams.
