Northern Catalpa

Description
The leaves are generally heart shaped and among the largest of any Indiana tree. Its flowers are in large showy clusters, white with purplish spots. The fruit is a long, narrow pod. Its buds and leaves are usually in a whorled arrangement. A medium-sized tree, up to 60 feet, it was once used extensively around homesites as an ornamental.
