Red Oak

Description
A red oak type with 7 to 11 lobed, bristle-tipped leaves. The sinuses, indentations between lobes, do not cut so deeply as the pin, shumard, or scarlet oaks. The acorn is enclosed in a flat saucerlike cap. A fast-growing tree under good conditions, it does not develop a taproot. It will develop chlorosis at high pH.
