Virginia Pine

Description
The Virginia pine’s needles are in bundles of two, or sometimes three, up to three inches long. Its cones have sharp prickles. In Indiana, it grows only in the south, but it does very well in reforesting abandoned and cutover land. It often grows in pure stands and does best without competing vegetation.
