Yellow Buckeye

Description
The seed is smooth and dark brown, with a large tan attachment scar that makes the whole seed resemble an eye. The husk or cover of the seed is smooth, but the seed is otherwise like an Ohio buckeye. Buckeyes are some of the first trees to leaf out in spring. Large flower clusters range from deep yellow to reddish purple. In Indiana, the natural range of the yellow buckeye is only along the Ohio River.
